May 2015 Newsvine Banned Users Post

>“WELL WELL WELL
Assdouchery and dumbfuckedness prevails I see. I always thought my request to post only in the Watercooler nation on this article was living on borrowed time. Surprised it went on as long as it did given the personalities here. Well too bad so sad.
It was a simple request made politely. It wasn't as stated by some me trying to dictate anything.
From this point forward, these articles will be published with comments off. Not enough time in the day to deal with this bullshit, this takes enough time as it is. And as far as whining about it - let me quote a couple of things
•Monte Walsh: "You can't have no idea how little I care."
•Internet: "Behold! The field in which I grow my fucks. Lay thine eyes upon it and thou shalt see that it is barren." <
I have always thought that the monthly Banned posts were a great service. I understand how much effort goes into them (skimming posts, following leads from other posters, the Mods columns, etc.) and all on a regular basis to remain current each month. I tracked them regularly since I do enjoy some “meta-drama” and the comments were often an interesting addition/expansion to the “Days of Our Lives”.
I was happy to find the May List in my tracker (thanks SiN) before I had the chance to go to Chris’ column and enthusiastically add my “t”.
I must admit that I never understood the reasoning for posting only in Watercooler nation since posting in more places equals more readers which seems like a good thing. I apparently undervalued its weight given the locking of the comments feature.
It seems that an article chronicling the banishment of posters will by its very nature, bring out emotional comments both pro and con. Would we not expect or want that?
Thanks to Chris regardless. It is a worthy endeavor even though I can’t track it (I can still find it).
